Natural & Synthetic Rope
NATURAL FIBRE ROPE
Natural fibre ropes have a wide range of uses - most are considered animal safe which makes them ideal for wildlife parks / zoos. Natural Manila and Natural Sisal, especially larger diameter ropes are used widely for primate enclosures
Hemp and Flax Hemp ropes are very often found in theatres for controlling scenery changes, curtains etc. Gymnasium ropes are traditionally made from Hemp or Flax Hemp - at The Chatham Rope Company our gymnasium ropes are traditionally made as 4 strand and very hard laid which enable the gymnasium rope manufacturers to add the required fittings to the rope.
We also supply a great deal of our natural fibre ropes to film and television production companies as prop ropes / background ropes. We have supplied ropes for use within several blockbuster films and TV programs over the years.
We are always very happy to advise on application that may require natural fibre ropes - please feel free to give us a call.
